The Basics of Giving Work Instructions — How to Delegate Well

AI employees are just like human employees. The clearer you are about what, why, in what format, and by when, the better the results. This page explains the instruction rules that apply in any chat with Master, employees, or projects.

How Employees Work

  1. They announce their plan first. When given an instruction, they reply with a one-liner like "Here's how I'll proceed," and start right away.
  2. They ask if a decision is needed. If clarification is needed, they ask questions like "Is this the right direction?" or "Which of the two?" along with choice buttons, and proceed after getting your answer.
  3. They don't make up unknown facts. If they don't have real information like store names, prices, contacts, or dates, they ask you. If they ask often, add it to the Knowledge Base.
  4. They keep you updated on progress. Steps like research → draft → file creation are shown in the chat, and it's normal for long tasks to take time. Even if you close and reopen the app, unfinished tasks will automatically resume.

The Three Symbols in the Input Box

SymbolMeaningExample
@NameAssign who will do it@Researcher Please research the market size
/SkillSpecify how to do it/pptx Create a quarterly performance presentation
$PluginSpecify the format/tool to use$excel Organize sales by month in separate sheets
📎 AttachmentUse images, documents, or PDFs as referenceAttachment button

When you type a symbol, autocomplete appears and you can select with arrow keys and Enter. Even if you don't use symbols, the AI reads your instruction and automatically picks the right employee, skill, and tool. If you specify with a symbol, that always takes priority.

How to Give Good Instructions

Instead of thisSay it like this
Write a promo postWrite 3 Instagram captions. Target: office workers in their 30s, tone: witty, include 5 hashtags.
Do some researchResearch the size of the domestic wireless earphone market and the market share of the top 3 brands. Include source links.
Make a report$word Turn the above research into a 2-page report. Order: Summary → Market Overview → Key Takeaways.
  • Specify the format: "In Excel," "As a PDF report," "As a vertical Reel." If you mention the format, the right plugin will be used.
  • Specify criteria: Amount, tone, audience, prohibited phrases. If you use the same criteria often, add them to employee guidelines or the Knowledge Base.
  • Break big tasks into steps: "Research first → I'll review → Draft" is better for both quality and cost.

Continuing the Conversation — Remembering Context

Employees remember recent conversations and the last deliverable. If you just made an image and say, Change the background to a sunset, they'll edit that image. If you say, Reduce page 2 to one page in a report, they'll update that document. When you want to switch topics, start a New Session to lighten the context.

Responding to Results — When Employees Learn

When you hover over a result message, you'll see Copy · 👍 · 👎 · 🎉 Praise buttons.

  • 👎 + Reason: "Too many tables, focus on sentences" → The employee's skills, memory, and guidelines are automatically improved.
  • 👍·🎉: That direction is saved in memory and will be kept next time.
  • "From now on ~", "Always ~": If you write this in chat, it's remembered as a 📌 persistent preference.
